2005 Cabernet Sauvignon: Below are tasting notes taken from
Antony Gismondi's Website
"Clean spicy, mocha, peppery, vanilla nose with flecks of coffee, black
berry, barnyard and smoky compost notes. Ripe round, dry slightly
tannic palate. Good cassis jam, peppery, spicy, coffee, vanilla
black olive, tobacco leaf flavours. Slightly alcoholic finish but
with fine fruit balance. The best we've had from Fairview.
Well done. 88/100"
Take it for what you like.

2003 Cabernet Franc; Tasted Blind against 10 other random
wines. I picked wine out as best of show, but I did not identify
as my own. Tannins are fully integrated revealing dark fruit
flavours with leather and cedar box on the finish.
Drink now or hold for several more years.
(look for tasting in 3 months)
2002 Cabernet Sauvignon; A friend opened this bottle for
me. The wine is still exhibiting the characteristics of a
young wine, but the tannins have softened enough to make it quite an
enjoyable drink.
Drink now or hold for several more years. (I
only have 6 bottles of this wine left, so unless someone else is kind
enough to open one for me it will be a while before there is a tasting
update.)
